Better Way to Build and Distribute Software

In an industry dedicated to improving the performance of their clients, it is interesting that proprietary software vendors spend between 60-70% of revenues convincing customers to buy their product (sales and marketing) and less than 10% of revenues actually making better products (engineering). We have learned that in many cases, even 10% is fairly exaggerated - in most cases the roadmap is based on client assignments. 

What about the support? You probably know better than we do that when you try it out you rarely get what you expected. We thought there was a better way. Why not write our product in public and distribute it through an Open-source license? Individuals and companies would be free to evaluate the product and engage with myBiQ when they were ready for a commercial relationship. We could shorten the costly and time-consuming enterprise sales cycle while allocating more funds towards engineering (almost two third of our company is involved in R&D). The model requires putting your product in front of your sales force, which means having a fast, intuitive BI Framework with CPM and BPM capabilities that is easy to learn, use and open for every kind of extension.

Open-source entitles you to use myBiQ

  • as often as you like: the number of users can be extended without limitation

  • wherever you like: licenses are transferable worldwide

  • whatever way you like: you as an end user have access to the sources.

  • myBiQ is based on a range of so-called "best of breed" solutions from the open source community. We have integrated these solutions into a unique, innovative and easy-to-manage framework. In doing so, we have added diverse modules and developed the framework to the point that it can be optimally used by enterprises.
